Lem Bond, Sr. was a special man who did his job as safety assistant at Washington High School with dignity and love. He calmed many a situation and could be counted on for guidance and support to students and staff alike. His gift of music soothed many a tired administrator at our annual conventions or provided the magic touch to a romantic night out dancing at the Grove or the Packing House. Thank you, Lem, for a job well done. You will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace now. Winnifred Aitch, former Administrator Washington High School of Information Technology.

Mr. Lem Bonds was one of the nicest and most gracious individuals I have known. He always was interested in what people including the students at school were up to. His musical talents were huge, too. My condolences to his family on his passing.

My sincerest regrets to Lem's family. Lem was a handsome, lovely man with an incredible talent. Known as Lem Banks by his fans, he gave many people joy with his rich, beautiful voice. Always gracious, a powerful entertainer of jazz and R&B, Lem left us many fond memories. It was pleasure having the opportunity to sing with him, have him play at our place and lucky to know him. Lem was one of the kindest, most gracious men I've been lucky to know and work with. I not only enjoyed his friendship at work but loved to go out and watch him perform at various places around Milwaukee. A true Gentleman, a great Musician who I know is now enjoying Jazz with the other greats who have also left us. My sincerest sympathies to his family and loved ones.
