Obituary of Mrs. Ernestine Hickman
OBITUARY
Mrs. Ernestine Hickman was born May 16, 1940 to the late Julius &Eva Sanders. Ernestine was born in Union Town, Alabama. She received her education at Getta High School in Memphis Tennessee and Accepted Christ at an early age while attending Lakeview Baptist Church in Walls Mississippi.
As a young adult, Ernestine married Lloyd Pittman Jr. Through these years they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl whom they named Joyce. As the years progressed God had other plans and sent her the love of her life, John Hickman! John wand Ernestine relocated to Racine, Wisconsin. He was a wonderful husband and step father. Ernestine was a Homemaker and John had a long time career at J. I Case Company located in Racine, Wisconsin.
Later in life Ernestine became a member of Greater Mt. Eagle Baptist Church, which at the time was under the leadership of Rev. Willie Riley Sr. located in Racine Wisconsin. She loved to sew and was an excellent seamstress, she loved to fish, knit, crochet, cook, loved to play cards and was an awesome hostess.
Ernestine took flight with the Angels on June 10, 2019, at Community Memorial Hospital located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter. (Ms. Joyce Chavours-Milwaukee, WI) A brother, Mr Willie Sanders (Memphis, Tennessee), two granddaughters, Ms. Maya Chavours (Green Bay, WI.), Mrs. Merinda (Shelby) Hand (Memphis, Tennessee), One grandson, Mr. Joey L. (Jackie) Chavours (Green Bay, WI.) , 12 Great Children, 2 great-great granddaughters, Ava and Brooklyn Conley. (Racine, WI.) And a host of nieces, nephews and Friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius & Eva Sanders, Grandmother, Elize Moore, Brothers. Mr. Carl Lee Sanders. Robert Sanders, Jereald Sanders, Auburey Moore, Mr. Richard Moore, Mrs. Earline Kimble, Ms, Margret Sanders, great-great granddaughter Jordan Conley and a few special nieces and nephews, Dennis (Angie) Morris and Calven (Ann) Sanders.
We would like to give a special thanks to Ms. Tina Kemp (Caregiver) and Kayla Conley (Great granddaughter) for being there and supporting her during her last days. Gertie (Dear friend) who kept her days filled with laughter. And Cornelius (Corn) for being there when no one else was.
